Recently, I’ve been recoloring some of 09tuf’s lineart pieces in an effort to give new life to his drawings. One of those lineart pieces was this picture of Sage Andrews (an OC of DeviantArt user nicehunter) and Spencer Lockhart (the OC of brifight, also from DeviantArt) putting each other in a test of strength for their wrestling match.
In the original colored version, Sage was actually in his animal form. That’s not really what I’m interested, though, so I decided to try and turn Sage into his human form. Thus, this piece was formed.
Also, in the original colored version, the two boys decided to wrestle each other inside a shower room. But this is Manga Pro-Wrestling, and that kind of stuff won’t see the light of day here. So instead, I placed them inside a certain underground wrestling garage, just right before it started to get a huge ring makeover. And I’m pretty impressed with the result.

I’ve drawn tons of fan art for sometime already, and I’ve wanted to try drawing an original character for a change. Along the way, though, I would tend to have some second thoughts about it. But once I learned about brifight’s original character Spencer Lockhart, I decided to finally take a shot at it.
A few things led me to draw Spencer. First, and most importantly, it’s my sense of gratitude to brifight, since he was able to give me some good feedback early this month.
Secondly, the character kinda intrigues me right now. A bespectacled character interested in combat sports? That’s interesting. Kinda reminds someone…someone who likes to be called a detective and who has a mask of some sort.
That leads me to my third reason. I’ve been thinking about making my own OC as well, but I’ve also wondered who the first opponent will be. Since Spencer is a fresh character looking for opponents, I might just be able to give him what he wants.
