To celebrate Jean Kirstein’s fictional birthday on April 7, as well to coincide with NJPW Invasion Attack, I decided to draw this piece for Attack on Pro-Wrestling. While Eren faced off against Reiner in the previous piece, I decided to put Jean against Bertolt for this one.

I decided to let Jean square off against Bertolt mainly because I wanted to offer a better glimpse of what could happen if I were to continue the tag team match that I had planned in the past between Eren & Jean against Reiner & Bertolt. At the moment, I have put the plan on hold indefinitely since I’m doing another match instead. But hey, it was still cool to draw this. Besides, never say never.

The move here is called the Jim Breaks Armbar, which is popularly used by Zack Sabre Jr. in Pro-Wrestling NOAH. I first saw this move on Twitter while searching for manga wrestling pictures. I thought this move was cool-looking and unique, so I decided to draw this piece. This move was really challenging that I had to modify it a lot, so I hope I was able to draw it properly here.

I also decided to experiment a bit with my drawing skills here. I decided to try giving Jean and Bertolt some abs and making their body a little bit more ripped. I’m not sure if I’ll do this in future works, but at least I was able to try it.

If Attack on Pro-Wrestling were a real wrestling promotion, Jean Kirstein would be my ace in the promotion. With that being said, expect another fan art to come out in the upcoming days to illustrate that point. For now, happy birthday Jean Kirstein!
